<p>PimA, a member of a large family of acyl-CoA ligases, is found in a characteristic operon pimFABCDE for the metabolism of pimelate and related compounds. It is found, so far, in <taxon tax_id="375">Bradyrhizobium japonicum</taxon> and several strains of <taxon tax_id="1076">Rhodopseudomonas palustris</taxon>.
