<p>This family represents essentially the whole of the <taxon tax_id="562">Escherichia coli</taxon> YjeK family and of some of its apparent orthologs. YodO in <taxon tax_id="1423">Bacillus subtilis</taxon>, a family member which is a longer protein by an additional 100 residues, is characterised as a lysine 2,3-aminomutase with iron, sulphide and pyridoxal 5'-phosphate groups [<cite idref="PUB00015325"/>]. The homologue, MJ0634 from <taxon tax_id="2190">Methanocaldococcus jannaschii</taxon> (Methanococcus jannaschii), is preceded by nearly 200 C-terminal residues. This family shows similarity to molybdenum cofactor biosynthesis protein MoaA and related proteins.</p> Conserved hyprothetical protein CHP00238, KamA
