STAM1, STAM2 double knockout mice. STAM1 homozygous mutant mice show growth defect with aging, and neurological abnormality (reduction of pyramidal cells in CA3 of the hippocampus). STAM2 homozygous mutant mice are indistinguishable from controls. Double homozygous mutant mice are embryonic lethal.

STAM1/STAM2ダブルノックアウトマウス。STAM1ホモノックアウトマウスは加齢とともに成長不良。末梢神経反射異常を呈す。組織学的には海馬CA3領域特異的神経細胞の脱落をみる。STAM2ホモノックアウトマウスは特に異常は認められない。STAM1/STAM2ダブルホモマウスは胎生致死。
