Backcrossed 129 for 7 time (RBRC01198) (by Atsuo Ogura, RIKEN BioResrouce center).

Oct-4(Pou5f1)/EGFP transgenic mice carrying EGFP cDNA under the control of the 18kb Oct-4 genomic fragment (Genomic Oct-4 Fragment of 18) (Dev Growth Differ 1999). Oct-4 gene expresses in undifferenciated spermatogonia at prepubertal stages. This strain is useful to detect primordial germ cells with green fluorescence protein by the PGC-specific promoter. Tg line including the proximal enhancer (PE) of GOF18 (RBRC00868), Tg line lacking the proximal enhancer (PE) (RBRC00869 and RBRC01198).
