膜型IgMの遺伝子が破壊されて居り、Bリンパ球を作らない。Aicda遺伝子を含むBACのトランスジェニックであり、AIDの代わりにヒトCD2抗原とCreを発現する。Rosa26遺伝子座にloxP-stop-LoxP構造によりCreによって発現誘導されるLacZレポーターを挿入されており、Acida-creトランスジーンの発現に合わせて細胞がLacZにより不可逆的にラベルされる。

B6xCBA受精卵にて作製したAicda-cre Tgマウスは少なくとも4世代樹立者によりB6にかけ戻された。そのマウスにB6背景を持つコンジェニックであるR26RとmuMTを順次かけ合わせ、姉妹兄弟交配で維持した。
