InterPro Protein Domain record

description
  • <p> Proteins in this entry are found in a variety of bacteria, and are predicted to be ATPases involved in type III secretion systems. This entry includes HrpB6, which is necessary for both basic pathogenicity and the induction of the hypersensitive response in resistant plants, and which may function as an ATPase that is related to a transport apparatus rather than as part of a proton pump [<cite idref="PUB00002217"/>, <cite idref="PUB00044706"/>]. This entry also includes YscN (from <taxon tax_id="630">Yersinia enterocolitica</taxon>, which is a component of the YOP (Yersinia outer protein) secretion machinery using ATP, and it is either the energizer of this machinery, or part of it [<cite idref="PUB00020752"/>].</p>
