<p> This family of proteins is universal among 41 archaeal genomes analysed [<cite idref="PUB00045375"/>] and is not observed outside of the archaea. The proteins contain a single KH domain (<db_xref db="INTERPRO" dbkey="IPR018111"/>) which is likely to confer the ability to bind RNA. </p>
