• 生物遺伝資源（バイオリソース）は、科学技術、イノベーションの発展に必要不可欠な研究基盤です。当センターは我が国の貴重なバイオリソース、すなわち実験用マウス、実験植物シロイヌナズナ、iPS細胞等のヒト・動物細胞材料、遺伝子材料、微生物材料を収集、高品質に保存・管理し、それらを情報とともに利用を希望する研究者に提供することにより研究開発の発展に貢献しています。2001年の設立以来、信頼性、継続性、先導性を事業の柱として展開し、いずれのリソースについても、国際的な拠点として活動しています。
