HaTx1 is a 35 amino acid peptide toxin that was isolated from Chilean tarantula (Grammostola spatulata) venom. It inhibits the drk1 voltage-gated K(+) channel not by blocking the pore, but by altering the energetics of gating [<cite idref="PUB00015236"/>].
