<p>These proteins contain an RNase H domain (<db_xref db="INTERPRO" dbkey="IPR002156"/>) followed by a phosphoglycerate mutase family domain (<db_xref db="INTERPRO" dbkey="IPR013078"/>). The protein from <taxon tax_id="1718">Corynebacterium glutamicum</taxon> appears to be a functional RNase H [<cite idref="PUB00027992"/>] (<db_xref db="EC" dbkey="3.1.26.4"/>). The function of the phosphoglycerate mutase family domain is unknown. It is most similar to <db_xref db="PIRSF" dbkey="PIRSF001490"/>, whose members have a variety of enzymatic activities, including cofactor-dependent phosphoglycerate mutase [<cite idref="PUB00027855"/>], mannitol-1-phosphatase [<cite idref="PUB00016877"/>], and alpha-ribazole-5'-phosphate phosphatase [<cite idref="PUB00002873"/>].</p>
