RIKEN is the most comprehensive research institute for natural sciences in Japan that researches a wide range of fields in the natural sciences. To disseminate research results into society, we work towards open science realization which includes but is not limited to: cooperation with universities and companies, transferring technology, property, and intellectual rights to industry. Under the ICT approach, we maximize the utilization of research data with our management infrastructure that promotes data-driven research projects and strategic disclosure of research data. RIKEN Information R&D and Strategy Headquarters (R-IH) has been established. The R&D Division will continue research and development that promotes open science.
